Collision Damage Waiver and Theft Protection (CDWTP) reduces the liability of the renter in the event of damage to the bodywork, theft or attempted theft of the rental vehicle. If CDWTP is not included in the reservation, the renter has liability for up to the full market value of the vehicle. If not included in the reservation, CDWTP is an optional coverage available for purchase. CDWTP does not cover damage to the tyres or windscreen of the vehicle. You must adhere to all rental terms and conditions to receive the benefits of CDWTP.
If included in the reservation, the excess amount ranges between 2,000 EUR and 4,000 EUR depending on car class. Excess will be charged every time that a vehicle is damaged.
Before purchasing CDW, it is advisable to determine if the renter's personal coverage is adequate to cover damage, theft, loss of revenue, administration fees, diminishment of value, and any towing, storage or impound fees. If CDW is declined, the renter will be required to pay these charges and to seek compensation through their carrier of personal coverage. The Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) is not insurance.
Excess Protection (EP) is an optional coverage available to the renter. EP is only available for purchase if Collison Damage Waiver and Theft Protection (CDWTP) is selected or included in the reservation. The purchase of EP reduces the customer's liability to between 1,000–2,000 EUR in the event of damage to the bodywork, theft or attempted theft of the rental vehicle. EP does not cover damage to the tyres or windscreen of the vehicle. You must adhere to all rental terms and conditions to receive the benefits of EP.
Before purchasing EP, it is advisable to determine if the renter's personal coverage is adequate to cover damage, theft, loss of revenue, administration fees, diminishment of value, and any towing, storage or impound fees. If EP is declined, the renter will be required to pay these charges up to the Damage Waiver excess amount and seek compensation through their carrier of personal coverage. Excess Protection (EP) is not insurance.
Refuelling service: All vehicles are rented with a full tank and the vehicle must be returned with the same level of fuel as at the start of the rental period. If the vehicle is not returned refilled, we will charge a service fee of 35.00 EUR (incl. VAT) and petrol/diesel will be charged at a fixed rate. The fixed price changes according to the market price.
Fuel purchase option: For your convenience, you may purchase a tank of fuel at the time of hire at a price that is competitive with local fuel stations. Please note that the price is dependent on the vehicle's tank size. This method eliminates the need for you to refill the tank before returning. Please be aware that we are unable to give a refund for unused fuel. Please check availability at the rental branch before the rental period or at the latest at the counter when you pick up the rental car.
All major credit cards issued by either VISA, MasterCard or American Express are accepted. All cards presented must be in the renter's name. The deposit is 300 EUR for all vehicle classes. Failure to provide a credit card in the renter's name with sufficient available funds and a valid PIN number will lead to a refusal of rental.
